~Compassion~

Bringing immediate and long-term happiness to our lives?

Do you know the happiest person in the world? Is there a such thing? Is that goal too high or is it within reach?

I am learning too. I see compassion as an action word like "helping or love". Compassion is a sign of love. Compassion is stronger than just a feeling, it inspires action.

“Compassion is not religious business, it is human business, it is not luxury, it is essential for our own peace and mental stability, it is essential for human survival.” ~ Dalai Lama

Compassion personified: Compassion is not an easy thing to do, especially in the light of today's world. Mostly, we do not make time. Though we know we are supposed to show compassion, many of us see it as a sign of weakness. So to show strength, we act like we feel no compassion. That is what brings us to the cold hearted world in which we live today.

Compassion is just doing all you can to ensure others do not suffer. And if you do not practice compassion and are looking for an easy place to start, try working and praying for others not to suffer. That is a good place to get started. Compassion is how this country started.

For the sake of a better life, we must become a more compassionate people, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. We must do it ourselves and make it work. When people know you are sensitive to their needs, they become sensitive to the needs of others.

So for immediate and long term happiness in your life, show compassion. By doing so, our numbers will be increased, is that a bandwagon? Our fortunes will be restored, and we will come together again as nations of compassion. Or will we go down in a blaze of glory?

So, who shall inherit the earth?
