Folklore and Superstitions

Okiagari-koboshi a good-luck charm

Folklore is legends, customs, beliefs or superstitions passed down from one generation to the next.

Superstition is a belief or notion, not based on reason or knowledge, in or of a particular thing, circumstance, occurrence.

Folklore and superstions are Good and bad. Good in that there are times when they follow common sense and Bad in that they don't make sense.

Here are a few for you:

1. The world is flat or the world is round.

2. We were created by a Big bang or Creator.

3. One race is inferior while another is superior.

4. The rich get richer while the poor get poorer.

Folklore and Superstitions are stranger than fiction and stronger than truth...How believable or convincing can you be?
