The Inner Voice

The Heart The Soul of everything We Do

Inside our bodies are all kinds of highly sophisticated and intelligent sensor. These sensors are designed to monitor and maintain our well-being. They allow us to sense pressure before it breaks something. That keeps us balanced and make us aware when other wise. They safely guide us to our needs, our wants and through life. Though we are alike in many ways, it is these sensors that make us he unique individuals we are. When properly heeded these sensors keep us alive, healthy and allow us to live our best lives. The process of being aware of these sensors, I refer to as “the inner voice”.

Here is what the inner voice is up against: Common sense, we have "developed" ourselves off balance- over indulgence in corruption. We have priced ourselves out of jobs, food and cheated with money... We have made "The keep it simple stupid" more complicated than we will ever know. In managing this "money thing", we have created an out of control monster and we do not quite know how to reverse it? A double standard society that discourages us from being and treating each other the same, while respecting individual differences.

Money, does not make your sensory system operate any better. In most cases the opposite takes affect. Money makes many of us lose our "common sense". Nor does it make you a better person or any of those other things. When private people own resources, they become selfish about sharing. Now, we pay for basic life-giving resources provided for and by "the people".

Instead of lending a helping hand, money as an incentive has caused us to create reasons to look down or frowned upon our fellow man. The class system! Rich, poor; Yes mam, No Sir; the haves and the have nots... As civilized, superior beings; what are we trying to tell each other? Why do we put ourselves and our children through all this crap, when we already know all the next person needs is adequate food, clothing, health care, transportation and shelter.

In a civilized society, those basic needs are a Right to basic Life and to be able to provide them should be a privilege and honor. They are our purpose for living!

How much do they cost? Well, all the materials come from the earth. In other words, they are provided, all we need to do is to be smart enough to use them. Good Stewards! The labor comes from “The people” who want them. WHAT COST? Our conscience is killing us!

Instead of working for money, we should be working for those things "we need" and then, we will be good stewards and happy to share. That is the incentive for us all to do what we are suppose to do, nothing more, nothing less. Those who want the other lifestyle, go for it, you can clearly see where it will lead you. For the love of money. The more you get the more you want.

What about world peace and prosperity, the poor, sick and elderly? Common Sense? The process of being aware, that is the inner voice.

"The human heart cries out for help; the human soul implores us for deliverance; but we do not heed their cries, for we neither hear nor understand. But the man who hears and understands we call mad, and flee from him." Kahlil Gilbran

Life is a constant challenge, seeking direction, understanding and purpose. As I have aged, I've learned my inner-voice is one of the most important factors especially during these most challenging times.

I make many mistakes and every time, I am not sure how to fully recover.

When I carefully listen and obey, I experience an indescribable peace; mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally. No matter the outcome, I know I've done my very best. It gets even stronger as I grow older and I am very grateful to my parents for their input.
