Money

Harry Houdini 1899

Living without money?

It is great to be able to work and buy what you need and want. That idea has grown into a gold rush for money. Some where between the great depression of 30's and whatever this is America is going through in 2009, a great lesson was lost.

On one hand professionals suggest not allowing money to rule life, but on the other; our modern day society has been built upon the money prinicple-- No money, no honey. What can you do without it? Crimes and deaths involving money are high and steady rising. Taxes, people are losing their homes, access to life giving utilities are being cut, poverty and starvation is spreading due to the lack of money. Is it from the lack or poor distrubution and management? Priorities for supply and demand have changed. Some where in there is a hypocritical ploy and cronyism. We promote whatever it takes to make a buck. Who cares whether it is needed or not? It seems if you do not have money you lose everything. The economy goes into a depression... What lesson was learned from the last depression?

Really, not having enough money is nothing new to those who do not have, it is just a way of life. That does not say, they do want or do not need it. However, it does say they are not willing to do "anything" for it. So they go lacking for programs and opportunities that require money to make living life better.

The flip side is those that have money expect those that do not have to do or go through whatever they say or went through to get their money. In theory this criteria sounds great, but in reality we have proven that still does not hire the best person for the job. Control is also an issue and who or what is in control has a point to prove and most of the time it is how to make another buck.

We have become insensitive to the human side of life and more in tuned to the commercial side. Most do not care as long as it turns them a buck. Now, whether we own up to it or not, money is our incentive to do almost anything and everything and we feel quite justified in doing so. War, what is that all about? Education? Religion? We have the best of the best equipment, but at the same time, we meet less of our basic needs. People will ask for a dollar before they ask for food. It is easier? Now, we might be getting some where. The world sees and hears much about how we live from mass media, but they do not have a clue how we really go about our daily business, how we earned our reputation for being one of the richest countries. We will not leave our children in the car alone, but we will leave them at a child care facility for as long as we can. Our "got to get a job" campaign over shadows our living our best life campaign. Instead of working according to our talents, we manipulate our talents to meet high income positions. Now, what happens to productivity? Customer service? Hiring the best person for the job? Equal opportunity employers!

I think that is the money referred to when talking about walking away. When you can walk away from money, you have mastered life.

Tough subject when you know the chances are, if you are able to read this, your value on money is pretty high.

Not as many worries!

When you run out of money, some things are revealed to you. "He that wants money, means, and content is without three good friends." -- William Shakespeare I wonder what that means? Most people with money "do not give a shit" about people without. That is what I think it means. And that attitude permeates throughout our modern societies and on a whole it is designed that way. Everything is screened. Adults, Children, Food, Work, Holy...Is that to keep you in or to kick you out? That is why the success of a website like this, will be like finding a needle in a hay stack and then having to squeeze through its eye. I have got the scars to prove it! Have you ever heard the phrase, "They are too needy". Do you know who "they" are?

Do not save riches for yourselves here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and robbers break in and steal. Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle. Rest and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way... Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many wicked. Your heart will always be where your riches are.
