Self-Worth

The hunt for self, why do we always look for it in the eyes of someone else?

Only you can define your inner self? Define your self-worth? "That is your self-worth!"

Self-worth is an innate ability or quality within each person to be of value to self and society. It is your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in spiritual sight. No one can take away or alter this value except you.

It is your seed of love planted deep within your soul. It has nothing to do with power, position or material possessions, but how much do you value that trait within you. Put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

How do you get self worth? You are born with it. Can you improve upon it? Yes, through practice. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say.

Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word or they may be won over without words but by behavior.

Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. In everything set them an example by doing what is good.

In order to express that value, you must first express it to yourself – be yourself. How do you make sense of investing? Do you love and respect your neighbors as yourself? Do you even know what true love is?

Defining and expressing your self-worth dictates your levels of self-respect, control, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. If you do not value yourself to life too important, these levels will correspond accordingly. You just might think you can buy anything with money.

The better you feel about yourself, the less destructive in life. Make sure you know what you are talking about when you say that.
