The Counterculture

How do we get in the big messes? The thing that comes to my mind is: A lost society, HOw screwed up are we REALLY?

Lost or screwed up, people are searching for a deeper meaning in life and self. The emphasis shift increasingly in the opposite direction. So much emphasis on self, on improving oneself, on providing oneself with better and greater opportunities, on putting self first, on living for self.

In promoting more and more "self", our goals have become more materialistic and the result has been "a lost society", even since the 40 years I've been living outside of the mainstream.

Life is a journey, so today, let's take account? Are you of a gentle and kind nature? Are you full of life and so interested and absorbed with the people around you? Have you been granted the ability to view life in a different dimension, and things that troubled and concerned others seemed to have little value to you? Then consider yourself a bonafide member of the counter culture movement today.

A journey of who,what, when and where? Having faith.

The journey in Life will always mean you are going against the grain. Don't expect your circumstances to conform easily to this journey. They will resist it at every turn. We must learn and teach "joy and peace" that transcends circumstance, for trials and tribulation are constant.

The hardest thing you'll learn in this journey is to give up the illusion of controlling your own life.

Though we take all the credit and glorify for technological advancement, there is "no new thing under the sun". We still can't figure out even how the Great Pyramids were built.

The path to greatness hasn't changed. It still comes through walking the path of faithfulness and investing your talents wisely in life.

Money, faithful ones didn't bury it for themselves, or focus on just keeping it for their own gain or self-improvement, but they invested it in others, in giving to others, through sharing the words of life that others need, through loving acts, through being a living example of love and Spirit in whatever ways they could.

Be found faithful to your ownself.

You certainly would not be able, in a single bound, to create an earthly paradise. But, when you make life ever so little better, you will have done splendidly, and your lives will have been worthwhile.
