Davy Crockett
Everyone has heard of Davy Crockett.... but did you know....
When he spoke out against President Andrew Jackson and the "Indian Removal Act" it destroyed his political career because he supported the Cherokee. So he left Washington DC and headed west saying "They could all go to hell and he would go to Texas!" where he died fighting at the Alamo.
"I had rather be honestly damned than hypocritically immortalized"
