Racism

I am fed up with what is happening within the black community. Too many of our families are broken, too many of us are morally degenerate and too many are willing to blame all of our woes on slavery, George Bush, the Republican party, or anything but our failure as parents, husbands, wives, and Christians.

So many liberals are trying to speak for the Black Americans as a group. That is distressing. we should be concerned about the American family in general. So many have lost all values and respect. Everything hinges on mutual respect!

It's really sad how many of us waste our time and energy seeking out overt/covert acts of racism almost as if it's a full time job. This preoccupation with race and racism is one of many factors that keep us from reaching our potential. If we were as concerned about taking care of our families and our communities as we are about exposing racism, we would be unstoppable!! The question is not where are the racists? but how can WE, with the Lord's help, ensure OUR success in life despite the elements of racism that exist?

Over the past few months I met a very distinguished young lady, so I thought. She told me I could not come to her home or meet her family because her family would not understand nor accept her sleeping with a Black Man, i don't care how good he is and all. It is okay to sleep with an abusive lighter skinned person but? Now, this was in the past few months. Please, this is "not about sex". This is about a mentality. How do you put out a fire? Is it out when only a little spark is left? Is it not possible to wipe out "World-Wide-Racism, Poverty, Oppression"? How?

My question would be, Is it better to hide or bring it out in the open? Dirty laundry, what do you do with it? Do you hide abuse and violence? How do you know when you are past it? I hope my subjects are not just about American Racism. I hope they include "poverty and oppression" around the world. The truth is stranger than fiction.

I do not enjoy writing about it either but what will you do? Keyword "DO"? What do you think? I would like to meet you, What is your name...Art
