What do you honestly feel, is the system for or against you? Once you accept that, then you will know how to conduct yourself. I’m just about finished, but look at how we treat our President. Not about his race, but how elated we were for this underdog to be elected; and by now, we view it as “the worse mistake we ever made”. That is a mentality of a people running this country and the rest of us is Monkey see, monkey do. Why do you think you need an application/resume and be required to meet all the other job criteria, while an immigrant worker does not? Do you fault the immigrant worker? So how do you best deal with this kind of irrational behavior. Expecting the unexpected has really gotten out of hand?
Back to your situation: Be yourself, no matter what others do. Stand for human rights where ever you go, while if you do not, what other rights do you have? The more or greater someone sees you above and beyond themselves, the more reason they see to tear you down, and that is a good way to take it. You don’t have to say or do anything, they will do it all, but the best person will always win. It takes pulling together to win. What team have you seen win without it?
Egotistical, we're constantly at war at home and abroad. Peace, Love and Happiness will not find us because it is not in our hearts.
The only way to successfully combat this mentality and best survive is by being true to yourself, the only person you can stand up for - a human right. I wouldn't be too quick to do anything just because of what someone else said. Contrary to popular belief, we have the right to make mistakes
