Tutoring Special Needs Students
I tutor special needs students in our public school system. In my opinion, there are not enough qualified experienced teachers to give individualized instructions so desperately needed.
Recently, I revisited three high school special needs students I tutored, and asked them to write a short paragraph about their tutoring experience with me.
Here is what they said:

Special needs students require lots of attention, time and patience. Often they have trouble adjusting to new teachers and it takes a while until they are able to understand.
Special needs students require special training techniques and when they get it, they willingly compete and excel. This is why I am a tutor and love working with special needs students.
I enjoy the challenge of teaching students like those above and with more time, I think we could have made even more progress.
When I first met them it was a great challenge to get them to read, write, spell or do math. Now they are eager to do it all.
Special needs students are our future. Tutoring helps academic improvement and with the development of coping skills.
Help lead the way to a better tomorrow. Allow a Special-Needs Tutor, with experience, tutor your child.
