Sitting around "old cats", I heard this one gentleman, eighty plus years old and still waiting tables in his restaurant, he said, "All my old friends are gone, now I don't have nobody to run with".
Well, that caught my attention, even I'm not eighty years old.
With all the emphasis we put on building good friendships, is this how it's supposed to end - Big Brother watching? Where are the indicators of good friendships, are they in our homes, schools, churches, streets...? Murders, domestic violence, abuse, racism, inflation, corruption, what legacy are we leaving or are we just tooting our own horns? Remember, Big Brother is watching.
Then, one day you look around and "all your so called friends" are gone. There will not be perfect relationships but are we even heading in the right direction?
