Thinking of Hiring an Internet Guru--Your "Get It Done" Ezine
June 05, 2005
But first, You may want to read this first.

Sunday, 5 June 2005 A beautiful afternoon and great day to for chruch and family or friends gathering. Especially,if you are from Central Georgia where most recently we experienced all the Rainy Nights In Georgia.

Well my folk, over the past few days our efforts to enhance the web presence of your-inner-voice.com sent us through one of the most unfortunate, invigoration and eye-opening experiences one may imagine happening to them on the World Wide Web.

I know this is just one of our first great learning experiences as we travel through the vast wilderness of the www.

We hired what I believed to be a well established Internet Marketer/"Guru" to help.

What is that? An Internet "Marketer/Guru" is a person who has established themselves as an internet expert. They profess they have achieved great success on the web and when hired, are willing to share and help you.

Sounds very interesting, does it not?

Well we have worked very hard on our site and our efforts to be competitive on the web. In other words we are following a path to success but somehow, I got the notion, consulted and was convinced that this so called guru, through working together, we could speed-up the process. So I decided to go for it....

What was my experience???

The well established guru referred to me, highly recommended and according to my research was legitimately helping folk achieve success on the web, the Long story short is, They sucked me in and lied, to the tune of $500 and was on the way to $3000.

Worse, I strongly suspect the same is happening to others but for what ever reason(s) the others are reluctant to make it known. Kind-of makes you think they may be passing on the same lie.

As a last resort, I opted for the "money back guarantee" and yelp, you guessed it, they refused to honor it, in part and in full, as well.

All in all, over the past few days, it took about two hours of work for them to take $500 and I got nothing.

What will I do?

Well, I can do nothing on my own because I had paid my money.

Yes, I have reported the incident under Fraud and abuse but there are no guarantees there. I must depend on the mercy of someone else, the system, to help me out of this situation--To bond me out, so to speak:-)

Again, the same way I got into this trouble, is the same way I must to get out: That is depending on someone else to help me.

I have learned these Lessons:

If a person is not willing to help you based on your efforts, in other words, they can not see their reward in uniting in effort; then what good will it do to hire/pay them up front. Will paying them help them to see "success together" any better? Further, your success will always be and depend on their mercy.

You must work for your money, why should not they be willing to work together with you for theirs.

In summary I would like to say, that I know there are no perfect businesses or businesses that can be operated by one person. You must have the ability to work with others. However, it is sad but true that these kind of lying and deceitful people are amongst the most noble internet marketers and businesses, on the net. It is a crime and a white collar crime and any one committing such crime should be pointed out, like A wolf in sheep’s clothing.

They help to make trusting and paying another human being obsolete. It is not all of them but the good ones are few and far between. They give a bad name to great internet marketers/gurus and legitimate businesses on the World Wide Web. They make healthy internet marketing and competition; a cheap, low-life way to scam people out of their hard earned money and therefore should be pointed out.

The ones that come to my attention will be pointed out.

I leave you with this article of inspiration. I had a great time putting it together and it inspired me.

How do I get the courage to go on when life seems too hard or obstacles seem too big? God Will Give You Courage when you are afraid or wanting to speed to success, like me; resulting in a humiliating disaster.

Others may not have any mercy or may be preoccupied pleading their own case. Should I get angry do the same or take revenge? No, my friend; just pray and carry on the best that you can. We all go through trials and tribulations and this one ain't all that bad, compared.

I command you—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. All you have to do is believe in a power greater than yourself. Joshua 1:9 NLT

You will have courage because you will have hope. You will be protected and will rest in safety. Take the best corrective action you know how, carry on and continue to believe. Job 11:18-19 NLT

Fear will make you do some crazy things that you may live to regret. I must be the change I wish to see in the world.

The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I fear? The Lord protects me from danger—so why should I tremble? I must continue to work and believe.Psalm 27:1

Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Just take the courage and do wants good for the whole. Isaiah 41:10

Courage is the ability to act on what we know is right and good, to dare to do what we should or must. Not for yourself but for the whole. It takes lots of courage to do what you know you need to do for all of mankind. Even to just admit it to yourself.

Fear paralyzes; courage is what helps us move ahead.

Courage does not conquer fear, it simply renders fear ineffective. It gives us a confident assurance that we can succeed.

The Bible speaks of courage to stand firm against evil, to remain strong in our faith, to resist temptation, to do the right thing. Temptation is a tough one to decipher.

Quite often the ones you think “will not” are the very ones who “will”. And no matter how good our intentions, as long as we continue to do, we will fall victim to temptation.

How do I get past it?

I say it is greater the mistake you fail to admit. Temptation can easily disquise itself as a way past mistakes or a short cut to success. Know that it takes double as much courage to admit mistakes but go ahead and share your experience with anyone who may benefit from it.

In our society these days, it is very easy and a common practice to take advantage of our system for giving and receiving help. Our system is so compromised and corrupt it is a tough decision to know the difference between those preying off the system (scam) and those who really want to help.

So, when we fall victim to one of these scams, I ask that you are not too afraid or humiliated to admit it and make it known.

Failure to do so only leaves the next person wide-open for failure and/or just as vulnerable to the wolf in sheep’s clothing.

The more we learn to rely on God, the more courage we will have.

Quite often, we perceive we will have more courage when we walk with a friend who is strong and we do need each other.

However lying and deceit yeilds a false sense of securtiy that will cause us all to fail. Nothing from nothing leaves nothing.

Say what you mean and mean what you say. Do not let a dollar determine your worth and ability to help others.

Stay strong in your faith, continue reaching out to truly help others and success will be the path to your door.

Have a great Sunday and do not forget to take a minute out of each day, go to our site and do some “browsing” if you do not do anything else, just click through.

Thank you and enjoy,
