Beautiful article Art. You don't hear much about African-American accomplishments especially in rular areas.

Naming it "AA": At one time I would say it was necessary, but in todays time and for future reference, we are practicing "one people". As long as it keeps the spirit of what it was originally intended, why include "AA"? Once inside, every individual can come to their own conclusion. Some will realize the accomplishments of African-Americans and some will see the other side. It took both sides to make our culture, I think the point is to recognize the accomplishments of African-Americans who have been overlooked and present them within "our culture of today". The culture for which they worked, fought and died. This was and still is the dream of realizing one culture one people, with all our contributions included. Good luck.
