Respect

Good behavior seems to be deteriorating.

Show respect and give honor.

To a culture built on slavery: Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brethren.

Slaves, whose welfare depend on their master's goodwill, are capable of being disrespectful.

We may say people need to show themselves worthy of respect before we can respect them. But respecting another person is much more about WHO WE ARE than about who the other person is.

Respect means learning what He wants us to do and then obeying. This frees us from the expectations of others.

When believers excel, God's name is lifted up.

In Myanmar (Burma), children demonstrate respect by giving objects to their parents or elders with both hands.
