What a Friend

All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry,
Everything to God in prayer!

What peace we often forfeit,
What needless pain we bear,
Because we do not carry,
Everything to God in prayer.

We have trials and temptations?
Trouble everywhere!

Never be discouraged;

Find a faithful friend,
Who will share all your sorrows?

Weak and heavy laden,
Your friends despise and forsake you?
Jesus knows our every weakness;

Bring all to Thee in earnest prayer.
