HBCUs rally together

Support to compete in the global economy, what happened, why-Historically Black Colleges and Universities?

HBCUs rally together to get the attention of President Barack Obama to compete in the global economy.

The Presidents of Historically Black Colleges and Universities have turn to the public for their support in a last minute effort to have financial aid reinstated.

Recently a specified amount of federal aid that has been historically available has now been cut. There could be many reasons for these cuts, but HBCUs are blaming President Obama and a misinterpretation of laws.

What are HBCUs doing to warrant these funds to be reinstated and what effect is that going to have on America’s economy?

What’s the difference between HBCUs and Banks, Auto Makers, Insurance, Health Care…? For profit/not for profit.

My experience with HBCUs? What were they doing with these monies? What are they doing for the people and communities they serve? As I worked with disaster relief no HBCUs were present. We’re sending our children to colleges and universities to be trapped by insurance jargon and laws that do not allow them to collectively help the communities they serve. How ever should these same students be called upon to serve their country, they would have to serve. You ain’t going to help me, because you would lose your money if you do. You ain’t going to help me because you would lose your job if you do. HBCUs are sophisticated enough to get the monies which makes them too sophisticated to help the people and communities they serve.

So, how is that helping us compete in the global economy? Do we really need this higher education to compete? Then, why don't the immigrants (Mexicans, East Indians...)?
