Apartheid In America

The most important accomplishment for the election of Barack Obama, to date.

Hoity-Toity, Twirly Whirly, and Whoopee!

My idea started or was inspired when I asked myself, "What is the best thing the White man has offered the Black man. Remember, this is not a white and black thing, but you are looking at it through a Black man eyes.

In 1994, I saw the end of apartheid in South Africa and my heart went out to them. Little did I know I was in the same situation? It occurred to me, but I quickly disregarded that notion. Ignorant to the fact, I idly sat by and I watched the end of a situation, having no clue, I was the victim of the same.

My thoughts now are I was living in Apartheid well before, hundreds of years before, my brothers and sisters, if their apartheid started in approximately 1910. Like I said, I do not know anything. Now, let us see if this is sooooo?

America is a country blessed with an abundance of natural resources including fertile farmlands and unique mineral resources. The invasion of this country, America, has offered the freedom for some of the world's greatest minds to become world leaders and in turn lead this country to a world power.

Knowing a little about Apartheid will tell you a lot. The British thought whites should be superior to all other races and they should live better life styles than non-whites. The Brits, it is something about them! Fee! Fi! Fo! Fum!, I smell the blood of an Englishman, Be he alive, or be he dead I'll grind his bones to make my bread. Jack and the Beanstalk • Jack the Giant Killer • Fiddle Dee Dee • Fish Story • Five Little Pigs ...

With the enactment of slavery and slavery laws, racial discrimination was institutionalized. Race laws touched every aspect of social life, including a prohibition of marriage between non-whites and whites, and the sanctioning of ``white-only'' jobs... Laws required that Africans in America be racially classified into several categories: black, African, colored or mixed (malotto). Classification into these categories was based on appearance, social acceptance, and descent. A white person was defined as "in appearance obviously a white person or generally accepted as a white person". A person could not be considered white if one of his or her parents were non-white. The determination that a person was "obviously white" would take into account "his habits, education, and speech and demeanor". Non-compliance with the race laws were dealt with harshly. That is the basis for Apartheid --meaning separateness in Africans (which is cognate to the English apart and -hood) — was a system of legal racial segregation.

The crimes of Apartheid are directly attributed to strategists in the federal government implementing apartheid as a means to cement their control over the economic and social system.

As the elections of Nelson Mandela, in South Africa symbolized the end of apartheid in South Africa, so does the election of Barack Obama mark the end of apartheid, their control over the economic and social system in America. That is the most important accomplishment of the election of Barack Obama, as President of the ????United States??? of America. The RED, WHITE and BLUE?

Where do we go from here? Peace and Prosperity! People can change. Change a mind!

Knowing this makes for a very very potentially dangerous situation. People are most vulnerable, angry and frustrated with a strong to desire to take action. The stimulus package, in this case, makes for a good deterrent. Help for small businesses and spirituality is another. Remember, you are on your own, but you are not alone!

Back to the question that got me started. God has a hand in this and lets people see. Apartheid started in America and spread to South Africa. Had I known this earlier, I probably would have jumped on the band wagon of my African brothers, who broke their strings of apartheid in 1994. Knowing the conditions helps to determine your position! A friend, BLH, shared this with me.

February 28, 2009 TODAY'S VERSE

VERSE: You are from God, little children, and have overcome them [those who deny that Jesus is from God and who have the spirit of the world], because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. -- 1 John 4:4 THOUGHT: The world can often be a hostile place for believers. God wants his spiritual children to know, however, that they are not alone. He lives in us through his Spirit. We can be assured, therefore, that no matter what spirit someone else may have, the Holy Spirit of God is greater, more powerful, and more glorious. The victory is ours because God's presence in us is greater than any force that we will ever face. We have our victory assured over all forces, powers, spirits, or opponents.

PRAYER: Dear Father, please give me the confidence, boldness, and conviction of your promises. I want to live boldly for your glory and according to your will. Thank you for empowering me to this victorious living by your Spirit who lives within me. To you belong all glory, majesty, and praise. In Jesus' name. Amen.
