Children In My Life

My commitment, no matter what race or world.

We've killed a lot of children in our lives and we've done that by killing their parents and other adults. Think about that, everyday a parent dies, a protector of children also dies. Some how, we can always find an excuse to kill. What kind of an example are we setting? When will it stop?

I am a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle, teacher, babysitter, neighbor, friend or fellow human being; I have an important responsibility to the children in my life. As an adult, children look up to me and learn behaviors from me. By treating children with kindness, attentiveness and respect, I foster their healthy growth and development all around me.

Striving to be the best I can be encourages them to be the best they can be. I will not lie, cheat, steal nor be a phony because I respect myself and my children.

I call on the patience within me when I feel frustrated, overwhelmed or intolerant. I look for opportunities to draw out their talents and praise their successes. Though they stumble, our youth can always rely on me to be there as a supportive and encouraging presence.

Take the oath and let's us live better lives.
