Faith and Feelings

Do not believe in God. I make more mistakes than the average,c an you not tell? I am a nobody and is never going to get any where, why? We know when to steal, kill and destroy. The Ten Commandments or prayer, this is neither the time nor place. That is a direct result of our feelings dictating our actions. Our Faith has gone out the window and now we do not know what to do.

You hear this all the time, do it how you feel". "Follow your gut". Then when another goes bad, an accident, a suicide, a wife, a husband, a friend, a family, a neighbor is killed; we have a brief change "at heart".

Feelings are misleading. Should I do this or should not I do this? What will they think? How will they respond? It is too late, it is too early. They are too light, they are too dark. Insurance? Age? Gender? Race? Law? The question is: Whose law? Religion, one religion knocking the other. All these and more must be considered before taking appropriate action. And often, by that time, it is too late.

Just think of living in a world that operates, on feelings. Is that the world, in which, we are living? Is that the world, in which, you would like to live?

Reckon that is why we have so many problems today? You know pain and sorrow will come, so prepare yourself. We must believe.

Due to living a double standard, many Christians fall short here. Arrogance and pride often stand in the way.

Your feelings will be hurt, but no matter how great your pain and suffering; it will be your faith that pulls you through. How does that little black boy know?

I place my faith in God, and my spirit soars. His love within me is my spiritual strength, the power behind the unfolding of my life, the force that lifts me up in spirit, mind and body. I am called to reach out beyond the parameters I have set for myself, aspiring to realize my divine potential.

I exercise my spiritual strength each time I do something new, whether it be trying to write, a new relationship, entering into a business venture or awakening to a new day. I may say a prayer before I begin, or my prayer may be the very act of beginning.

Like the eagle, I am meant to soar. I am meant to let go of fear and limitation, to apply the strengths and abilities God has given me. I place my faith in God and my spirit soars to new heights.

Happy are those whose strength is in God.
