Healthcare reform, The medical Oath, The doctor's Oath,

Swearing upon a number of healing gods that they will uphold a number of professional ethical standards, does that do any good?

Healthcare reform seems to be on the mind of every American today. It is an important national debate that needs a good dose of common sense injected.

There are trick words and phrases like: insurance options “to those who can afford it”, a quality safety-net for “those who cannot”, and a trauma network that is available to all.

Here is the deal. I have worked just as hard and in most cases harder than those “who can afford it”, then drop down to a “safety net” and then to “trauma network”. While you were out "alledgely tending to business", who nursed your kids, cleaned your houses, plowed your fields and did your "dirty work"? And that wasn't from the children of yesterday, that was for our children of today. It ain't stopped and you are still trying to get it. Who in their right minds would turn down something so good for so long? What kind of healthcare reform was that? How soon we forget? How grateful are you? and you are too quick to say I don't remember, I am not responsible, I did not participate. You may not remember what you parents did, but I remember mine and it wasn't a long time ago. People get like that when they are ashamed of what they did and ignorance is their excuse for what they are doing, inferior and superior?

And now you grow up and offer this kind of "bullshit"? And no, I am not angry, racist, guilt feelings or any of that other stuff. I am just telling you like it is. You are always getting for yourself, but you never think about anybody else. When you need help you get help and what do I say? But when I need help, I got to hear your "big fat mouth". Saying, They don't have sense enough to know what they need? They only need what I give them? Every chance you get, you are putting people down, unless it advances your own selfish agenda. Is it "cutting off your nose to spite your face"? Greed is a sin. Remember, if you see yourself as being on top, YOU DID NOT GET THERE ALONE AND YOU CANNOT STAY THERE WITHOUT THE PROPER SUPPORT. Ask somebody who knows.

For what do we elect our politicians? Which group of people are they representing? Why are we paying them? Would they be able to afford the luxuries of their positions if it were not for the poor people? Which group of people, most likely cannot represent themselves? I mean poor people are the only reason we have a reason to keep anything from anybody. Poor people are the backbone of any country or land, why do we always want to them to suffer? Does their suffering make you feel like a better persons?

Are poor people an asset or debit? What about any person? Rich folk don’t pay the bulk of taxes, but poor people do. Rich folk don’t do the majority of the dirty work, but poor people do. What would the rich do without the poor? Why does there have to be a rich and poor, if we are so smart and live in one of the richest countries in the world?

Why can’t we just have a plain and simple health care plan for all people?

The medical industry fear their license to rob people will be revoked. Why does money have to be an issue when it comes to health care? Common sense! All other gets us nowhere, just like where we are today!

The medical oath, the Hippocratic Oath is an oath historically taken by doctors swearing to practice medicine ethically: "I SWEAR…to share my substance with him, and relieve his necessities if required; to look upon his offspring in the same footing as my own brothers, and to teach them this art, if they shall wish to learn it, without fee or stipulation;…" Where does it say anywhere in there about “those who can afford it” or “those who cannot”? What does it say about school expenses or inflation?

Every American should be afforded quality health care, not one less or more than the other. This oath, when taken is an honorable thing to do, but when violated, it is not worth the paper on which is written, just like some of those treaties you made. It is an honorable oath for all to practice. "...While I continue to keep this Oath unviolated, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and the practice of the art, respected by all men, in all times! But should I trespass and violate this Oath, may the reverse be my lot". Do you ever think the reverse is or will happen? Then what?
