The Outcasts

A Word for those who have fallen.

A message intended for every generation and especially for our present one.

What exactly is an outcast? The outcasts are those rejected as failures by society, the church and people who are “lost” in the eyes of the world--The elderly, The sick and shut-in, the less fortunate...

Does this “throwaway” group speak to you in any way?

This is the very crowd Jesus loved most.

Pray and eat with them. Make them feel accepted.

Luke 15 has been called “The Gospel of the Outcasts.” For centuries this chapter has been seen as The Word to those who have fallen.

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? Luke 15:4

And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing Luke 15:5

What woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? Luke 15:8

When she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbors together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost Luke 15:9

For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry…(with) music and dancing” Luke 15:24–25

All you have to do is reach out, utter one cry for help and the Spirit will reach back and bring you into his arms.
