Pecan Pie

Pecan Pie (custard)

1 cup corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 eggs, beaten well
¼ cup Sour Cream
2 Tablespoons flour
½ Teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ Teaspoon ground ginger
¼ Cup melted butter
¼ tsp vanilla flavor (optional)
1 cup chopped pecans
1 Deep dish pie crust

Rub pie crust with melted butter and lightly brown in preheated oven. Closely monitor and carefully prick air bubbles.

In a bowl cream butter, sugar, then add syrup. Add one egg at a time, then flour and all ingredients, except pecans. Beat well.

Afterwards, stir in chopped pecans and pour all ingredients into lightly brown pie shell. Bake 40-45 minutes at 350 Dergrees.

Allow to cool and test with one scoop of vanilla ice cream.
