Pentecost

What about talking in tongues

The question came to me, What does Pentecost mean. So quickly I looked and made a few notes to myself.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

How is it that each of us hears them in his own native language? We hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!

Some, however, made fun of them and said, They have had too much wine. These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It is only nine in the morning!

Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, What does this mean? In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, young men will see visions and old men will dream dreams. I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, before the coming of the great and glorious day. And everyone who calls on the name of the God will be saved. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.

My heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also lives in hope. The Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
