A Thief
How often is the crime of a thief being committed, just in America? The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.
When daylight is gone, the murderer rises up, kills the poor and needy, and in the night steals forth like a thief.
When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers.
This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished.
People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his hunger when he is starving.
Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed
