Olivia's Pound Cake


3 cups flour
2 and 1/4 cups sugar (ok to add more sugar)
1 lb. butter (softened)
6 eggs (room temp)
1 tps vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon mace
2 tablespoon Brandy

Cream butter. Add sugar gradually while beating. Add egg yolks and beat until thick and lemony colored.

Add Flour, mace, vanilla and brandy. Beat vigorously about 5 minutes.

In a separate container, beat egg whites until stiff...

Fold in beaten egg whites.

Place in deep dish pan.

Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 300 degrees F.. .
