Sour Cream Pound Cake

Recipe from Olivia's Kitchen

1 lb butter or margarine
3 cups sifted self rising flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of salt
3 cups sugar
6 eggs (room temp.)
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cream butter. Add sugar gradually while beating. Separate egg yolks from whites. Add egg yolks and beat until thick and lemony colored.

Add Flour, baking soda, pinch of salt, vanilla extract and sour cream. Beat vigorously about 5 minutes.

In a separate container, beat egg whites until stiff...

Fold in beaten egg whites.

Place in deep dish or tube pan.

Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 300 degrees F.. .
