Christmas 2009

Surviving recession and depression

Treat yourself this Christmas.

To those in the recession, a few gifts may be exchanged, but for those of us who are and have been living in the depression, well; when it rains it pours. On top of all that, Christmas for many, has always been a most depressing time of year. Keep your spirits high.

However, this time, it is going to be a bit different. All the commercial aspects of the season must be put aside and for one time, the creativity and spirituality of ours hearts will be really put to the test, the gifts of giving and sharing.

Christmas, which we are busy taking the CHRIST out of, will once again take on a new meaning for some and the same old meaning for others. This is a time when your FAITH will be challenged and/or reenergized. Mother Nature has a way of making every head bow. If you find yourself complaining and not being grateful, then you do not know the real meaning of Christmas. You do not really know and understand the real meaning of life nor what it is important to be thankful for. You do not understand how to make do with what you have. You do not understand that you will not always be on top, so while you are up there you might as well do the Good Thang. I do not know when it is going to come, but you can rest assured a change is coming. And if you have not properly taken care of business, you must suffer the consequences. Life is just unfair that way.

Just like with any other disaster, the devastating affects do not last long. Recovery depends on how stubborn and stupid we are. Are we ready to dig in and get our hands dirty or are double standards and trickery still in effect. Are you still denying good citizens loans based upon low credit scores, which you created to deny them, while knowing your credit score, intentions and integrity were less than honorable.

Some of us already know who and whose we are and take comfort and are thankful for the gift of life 365 days a year. We know from whom all blessing flow and He did not bring us this far to leave us in this mess. If anything this mess is working out to our advantage, the last will be f.... and the first will be L... . That is a little secret! You have had your chance and you screwed it up in every possible way. If you do not know, you will be learning real soon. What is Grace and Mercy? Have no doubt, those who keep the faith will be rewarded.

It is not because of your righteousness or your integrity that you are going in to take possession of their land; but on account of their wickedness, the LORD your God will drive them out before you, to accomplish what he swore to your fathers.

We know what it is like to be denied for no logical reason. We know suffering and all the trimmings. We have had more than our fair share and we know who cared. Forget about what you do not have and start being thankful for what you do have. Count your blessings, which are much more than you had last year and certainly more than you deserve. While working the polls, two people told me that.

We could have another 8 years of you know what, so I am glad to see Americans waking up and having the courage to elect a President for change. So we have plenty of good and great things to be thankful for and look forward to. Is not that enough?

Know that everyday you wake up; you are blessed to be a blessing to others. Keep the faith, continue living your life and know, now is the time for change. Now is the time for you to live your best life. What does Jackie Chan say, Do not let circumstances control you. You change your circumstances. I'm crazy, but I'm not too crazy. Of course I'm scared. I'm not Superman.

Treat yourself this Christmas, forget about your hosting and just enjoy the festivities.

Surviving recession and depression, Christmas is your gift to you.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.... Remember ZERO Tolerance and Make it CLICk....
