Time for One?
"The art of being yourself, at your very best, is the art of unfolding your personality into the person you want to be. . . . Be gentle with yourself, learn to love yourself, to forgive yourself, for only as we have the right attitude toward ourselves can we have the right attitude toward others."
A positive person all of the time. I am working on my attitude.
Each morning I wake up and say to myself, I have two choices today. I can be in a good mood or ... I can choose to be in a bad mood.
I always choose a good mood and within 10 or 15 minutes, the worse things happen. Now, I reverse it and everything works out fine. Do what works for you.
Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to find somebody to "blame", other than myself...Blaming someone else is a lot easier than really working to understand the cause of the problem so, I may make necessary changes.
You don't know me like that!
Then, I wonder why people respond to me the way they do. I am learning.
Every time someone comes to me with a problem, I can choose to accept their complaining or... I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life. Then, they tell me, "you just don't understand and walk away".
"Not that easy," You say. Let's face it, we don't always do, think or interact with others the way we are suppose to. Sometimes we just have to let go and give time for healing.
Go to your computer and look at the imagine above until you regroup. It's important to do so before you get too heated. The idea is, do whatever you need to, in order to avoid over reacting or the feeling of being trapped.
Life is all about choices. Somebody has to be courageous enough to walk away for a moment. Smell the roses or flowers then, make a decision good for the whole. When not, prepare for divorce.
When you cut away all the junk, every feud is over little or nothing. Do we have any politicians in the house. "Man, that guy gets under my skin". You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood.
You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: Keep the ball in your court and be cool.
War or Peace, Good or Bad, it's your choice how you live your life."
Wanna see my scars?
Attitude is everything. Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly.......Leave the rest to God.
"Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms, to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."--Viktor E. Frankl, Professor and Holocaust survivor. Logotherapy
